    Varmintor 4.0/banish 30?

If you shoot subsonic 22LR, it is. I use my 223 can on my Ruger Mark IV. Shooting it is awesome. Cleaning it is not.

    Varmintor 4.0/banish 30?

I have a Varminter 2.0 in 30 cal, a 3.0 in 223, and a 4.0 in 30 cal on the way. I have no complaints about them or Dakota Silencer. They make it as easy a possible. There will be a POI change vs unsuppressed, but that's to be expected with any suppressor. If you do a mag dump, you won't want...

    logging in problems

I have this same problem with Edge. Also, I have it save my credentials, and it appears to, but when I hit the home page it looks like I'm not logged in. Then I click anything else (forums, pictures, etc) suddenly I am logged in.

    Trail Cam Pics

I've had a few with split G2s just outside of Fargo. I don't think it has anything to do with humping mule deer.

Anyone got a line on an upcomming chocolate lab puppy?

Yeah... $1500 is a bit much. I could justify that if I didn't live in the asshole of ND and was able to hunt birds more than a few times a year. This is going to be more of a family dog that can hunt. Like $500 max.

Anyone got a line on an upcomming chocolate lab puppy?

I'm looking for a chocolate lab puppy, preferably for pickup in the April / May timeframe. Anyone planning on breeding their dog or can recommend a good breeder? I'm not going to pay $$$$ for super-double-champion-ultimate bloodlines, but some kind of hunting heritage would be nice.

    SCOTUS and hunting rights

I couldn't agree more. I'm pretty tired of special treatment for certain groups of people. They're no more "native" or "american" than I am.

    SCOTUS and hunting rights

"Subsistence hunting" has not been a real thing for a very long time for any group of people in the US. How can you argue that your family "needs" this meat to survive when you're using thousands of dollars of equipment to acquire it? The tribal aspect of this particular case makes it even...

    AR or Bolt Action

I like the AR option myself. It's a lot more flexible. To switch to 6.5 Grendel, you'd only need an upper. -- Technically, you'd only need a barrel, but that takes a little longer to swap out and requires some special tools. You could run: -223 upper for plinking and varmints. -6.5 Grendel for...

Car hits ditch and goes 110 feet without touching the ground and then hits house

You'd have to know the approximate weight of the car and the slope of the ditch.

    Coyote tactics

This an interesting technique. It seems like you would get busted a lot and its success would be limited by the terrain. On average, how long do you call in one place before you move?

    Coyote tactics

A ghillie suit helps when you lack natural cover and you must sit in the sun in order to have a favorable wind. The truth is, you can do everything right and they may still go in a different direction when you start calling. Over time you learn to recognize when they're leaving and decide if...

    Coyote tactics

Depends on what your goal is. If you just want coyotes dead, snaring will always beat calling, assuming you have the same level of talent for both. If you enjoy calling them, then I'll echo what others have said: You need to make a different sound and optionally approach them from a different...

    Looking to buy an AR

I also vote to build. That way you get all the stuff you want right away. If money really is no object, I'd go AR-10 frame with a 6mm Creedmoor barrel from Proof Research. A ~100 grain projectile at ~3,000 FPS is no joke.

    Youth Air Rifle recomendations

Its supposed to be a surprise of sorts, so I can't have him "try it on". I'm leaning toward the Gamo Recon Whisper G2.

    Youth Air Rifle recomendations

I see a few references to "a Gamo" or "the Gamo", but they have like 47 different models. I appreciate the repiles, but specifics are nice.

    Youth Air Rifle recomendations

I tend to agree. However, discharging a "firearm" within city limits will get you in trouble. I want to shoot in my back yard. - - - Updated - - - I thought about that, but I'd like a system that can grow with him. An AR-style adjustable stock seems ideal, but I'm not seeing much of that.

    Youth Air Rifle recomendations

I've reviewed the various air rifle threads on here, but they all seem to be geared toward adults. I'd like to get my 7 year old an air rifle. I'd like something more powerfull than the old multi-pump bb guns, but don't want he hassle of the PCP / CO2 powered types. I'm ok with a break-barrel...

    advisory meetings

It must have been more than 25 years ago. It was always illegal while I grew up there. It didn't even occur to me that baiting was a possibility until I moved to ND. It still feels weird when I do it.
