I was 14 in 66. So I did a lot of shoveling. We actually enjoyed the storm, no school. But no doubt the rural people really got slammed. 66 was the year with no deer or deer season. Pheasants were pretty much nonexistent after the storm.
Cloverdale apparently does not carry pork trim anymore. At least that is what they told us about a month ago. Sams was way cheaper than Cloverdale for the pork butts. Deboning them is easy and very little of it.
If you are using tin foil it really helps to butter the foil before laying the filet on it. Also a few cuts in the foil will drain the liquid giving it more of a fried texture.
I second the use of a grill basket for grilling lots of stuff.
In the late 60', early 70's there were many fish houses between Memorial and the railroad bridge. There wasn't much current. Times have changed with the addition of ripraff.
One of my brothers has battled sleeping for years. He found the best way to sleep is by having a special homemade brownie for a snack. Pills are very addictive.
I managed to get one rooster. My two Brits pointed the bird and they along with a lab went after the dropped bird. All three went to the spot where it dropped. My almost 12 year old took off down the draw while the other two stayed in the area looking for the bird. A couple of minutes later...
I was out in the yard today and I noticed that my male Brittany was chewing something. So I checked it out. About a month ago the solid plastic bone was twice as long as it was today. Plastic must taste good. Earlier this fall he ate a 2 by 3 foot chunk of a wool blanket.
