    True Fuel ??

I'm confused. If you have to mix oil with it anyway to get to 24:1, what advantage does using "True Fuel" give you? Even if you're not concerned about possibly mixing different types of oil (I would be), seems like it would require math and be more error-prone than just a straight mix.

Looking for a new fillet knife ...

Ok, I'll be that guy. Don't mean to insult anyones manhood, but IMO, electric fillet knives are queer. This is all you'll ever need: They're cheap enough that you can buy a few and stash one in the boat, one in the truck, a couple at home, etc, and still be money ahead of the electric. In the...

    Snow camo

If you find anything in Mossy Oak Winter Brush, let me know. That pattern is the cats-ass for this part of the world, but you can't seem to find it anywhere anymore. Why can I get it in these ridiculous boot-slipper things, but not a fricken coat or hat?

    Snow shoes

Wow, if you did that in an hour, you are a crafty craftsman indeed. I predict you are not going to enjoy those bindings and they may not be as durable as you expect, but still pretty cool.

    Snow shoes

Skis would be pretty sweet at times. I would want some sort of retractable gripper thing that I could use on inclines and then retract to haul ass downhill.

    "Hearing Protection" bill introduced!

Suppressors only do two things: 1. Reduce the sound 2. Reduce the recoil Would you rather they push it as the "Shoulder Protection Act" or the "Make Guns Cooler Act"? I've shot suppressed for years, and I don't think it's a "stretch" at all. Being able to shoot without the hassle of ear...

    Snow shoes

As mentioned several times already, get the military surplus magnesium ones. Here’s what they look like: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TG17B4C/?tag=nodakangler10-20 I have two pair and they are the thing to have. Way better than the aluminum / plastic ones, and cheaper too. However, the...

Going to Brag up my Dog Now!!!!

Yeah, he crashes hard, but he's ready to go the next day. The deep snow this year was a bit tough on him, but he did it 3 days in a row. There's too many birds down at once or too far apart, so he doesn't retrieve all 13 limits, but I often end up with my vest so full that I have to make a pile...

Going to Brag up my Dog Now!!!!

Awesome. My dog is the main reason I pheasant hunt too. He loves it. Just got back from a hunt with 13 guys and he was the only dog. He's 8 years old but the only time you can tell is after the hunt. On two separate occasions he pulled an un-shot bird out from under a snowbank...

    Coyote vocals?

Look up Randy Anderson - http://callingcoyotes.com/ Get a DVD or two, or find him on youtube. He's the man. He almost always starts with some howls. I like to do a mature male 'locator-type' howl, then wait a 30s to a minute and do a young answer howl. Seems like when they howl back, it's...

    Snowblower Attachment for Lawn Tractor

I have a 98 JD LX188 with 42in blower attachment. It's belt-driven where the belt hooks onto the same pulley as the mower deck. As others have said, rear weights and chains are a must. My driveway is almost completely flat, so unless it's really icy or the now is really hard, I don't have...

    Shooting bag/rifle rest?

IMO, if you're barrel ain't floating, you're doing it wrong. Although my piston-driven AR doesn't truly float by design and it drives tacks off of any surface.

    Shooting bag/rifle rest?

Probably. I'm not a camper guy, but have had some bad experiences in the past trying to use a similar style car jack. Back when I was too broke to own good tires and too hard on the Camaro to keep air in them.

    Shooting bag/rifle rest?

For the range, I find the Caldwell Tack Driver works well as a front bag with 20 round mags. Might be a bit short for 30s -- don't know -- don't use them. Then pretty much any angled rear bag should work well for the rear. I like the MacGyver ideas above though. That car jack one is...

Leasing Land to Hunt- Is it becoming the new normal?

I asked for permission to hunt coyotes once where the land owner asked for a "trespass fee". I politely declined, but in my head I was like "f-you guy, I hope they eat all your deer and calves". - However, that is definitely an outlier. Most ranchers are all too happy to let you hunt coyotes...

Chuck Norris roundhouse kick to the chops. If nothing else, I bet a kick to the nuts works about the same on them.

DIY Duracoat - It can be done

    Ebay.
