Here's another little glitch I just noticed. I started a thread called "Diesel Pickup Exhaust", or something like that anyway and put it under the vehicles option in the Forums. When I go to the "Home" page, it is viewable via the "Recent Activity" menu on the right side of the screen...

    Diesel pickup exhaust

Ha hah hah, remember I'm a hunter. I prefer my badassedness to sneak up on and catch people and wild game off their guard.

https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/pet_crd_pres_a_EPC0_R01_mmbbl_a.htm This only lists the "proved reserves", which is currently closer to 32 billion barrels. Add in a few more billion for unproven. I've also heard/read that about the Saudis and ANWAR. I suppose it makes good business sense from...

    Diesel pickup exhaust

I have a 2009 F250 that is starting to take a long time to complete the Exhaust Gas Filter regeneration cycle. It seems like it's been struggling as of late, like when pulling a load to complete the cycle. The next day when I get in the pickup without a load on it, it goes straight to "Drive to...

Appendix decided to put a kibosh on my hunting and fishing

On the plus side, Rusty should be good to go for pheasant and deer gun season and I hope you're back to form long before either! Sorry for the earlier hijack. It's just what we do around here.

Fritz, Just curious here, but where did you read that Alaska has more oil than Saudi Arabia? Most articles I've read on the topic suggest only Venezuela has more oil than the Saudis. The U.S., including Alaska, has about 40 billion barrels of oil that is technically recoverable. Saudi Arabia...

Kill a tiger to save a dog?

I think the tiger lover group said it best. "...All of our tigers are accounted for. Thank you to the officers for trying their best to bring this animal to safety." Always easy to second guess things when you aren't in the middle of the storm. I am guessing not a single one of these officers...

Yeah, it's been iffy from day one. My thought was that "if this is the worst this site has going on...I can live with it". It is a darn nice feature when it works though.

Appendix decided to put a kibosh on my hunting and fishing

Testicular torsion is just as it sounds. Your nut spins around in the beanbag and basically hangs itself. Almost always resulting in the loss of the affected bean. Don't worry though, you can get a prosthetic one. I'm sure she'll never know the difference. :;:smokin Only reason I ever...

gst, None of those are the pheasant's fault. The shitty assed people with firearms would be chasing grouse, or the other introduced bird (Huns) if the pheasant weren't there.

    Cell phones save the day...Twice

My gauges work reasonably well. Both floaters hold 35 gallons and since I don't like being restricted as to where my whims may take me, if she's anywhere near 1/2 of a tank...I fill up when getting bait, etc. I haven't yet had to use the Reserve feature on any of my floaters and I aim to keep...

Are you aware of any unintended consequences to the pheasant being brought to America by the Chinese immigrants? Because while there probably are some issues, I am not personally aware of them. Asian carp though have some really bad consequences. - - - Updated - - - Yep, as a rancher I am...

    Cell phones save the day...Twice

It's good to know others in the area, that is for sure. I remember the late 70s and early 80s on Sak where if you went out and had boat trouble, there were a lot of days you would simply end up on whatever shore the wind blew you to. You could go hours without seeing another boat on week days...

    160,000 Salmon escape

Let's remember that the Asian carp came to us via catfish farms. The carp were used to help keep the vegetation in the catfish pens under control and they were released during Missouri/Mississippi river floods. I, for one, am not a big fan of using foreign species for such purposes.

The question I have is how to handle the now once a week calls I get that lists the state and number on my cell. If it's out of state, I don't answer 98% of the time. But if it's in-state, I will usually answer even if I don't recognize the number. And then there's nobody there. The...
