Little Girl Recovering from Musky Attack?

I don't understand why people need to tell the 11 yr old who had to kick the attacker off of her foot that she is mistaking a furry mammal for a fish. I...just...don't...get...it. Seriously, WTF am I missing here? Did the girl say she didn't know what it was that bit her? She did say in at...

    livewell help...

You will want to check the housing for the pump, assuming it's a cartridge style like the Johnson series. Different gph pumps may have different housings, especially when you double the rating.

    Fruit trees

On the plus side, I decided to put in an orchard this year for the kids to enjoy and maybe make a buck off of for college. I've lost half of them. And that's with some watering mixed in. Truth be told, some just didn't seem to get enough chill hours before I planted them. Tough to live if...

58 foot tracks on a 20.5 foot boat

LOL, that's a simple one that didn't cross my mind. 58 ft of tracks would be frigging silly. You'd have to line the windshield as well!

    Fruit trees

The trees are not showing much stress because all of our snow went into the ground. That watered up the deeper soil horizons and trees with a tap root are able to take advantage of it. - - - Updated - - - Note: If the dry stays with us until next year, that is when you will see the trees suffer.

58 foot tracks on a 20.5 foot boat

Umm, what are "58 ft tracks" when it comes to a boat? Guess I ain't that cool after all.

I just KNEW this would happen!

I'm not sure where in any article they say the girl was uncertain of what bit her? After all, she did "kick" it with her free foot. So I am guessing she saw it.

    fish mortality

As I tend to catch salmon on lighter than recommended tackle, I am pretty sure every damn one of them has died as it came over the gunwhale. With not a single exception. Granted, it's not like I've caught that many, but it is certainly a trait I associate with our salmon.

    What's your sonar setup?

I have a 10 ft fishing rod. In the fishing boat I can measure up to 12 ft of water, but on the Toon it's only about 8 ft. Jesus H. Christ, you guys are nuts!

    Weather Modification, yea or nay?

Yeah, I assumed not all trees are large in nature. So I cut the transpiration number in half.

    Weather Modification, yea or nay?

As the old saying goes, whiskey is for drinking and water is for fighting over. I forget the name of it, but there was a reservoir in Wyoming (?) that got taken out a few years ago because the amount of evaporation from it was held against them in an interstate compact as part of their...

    fish mortality

Musky, I am pretty sure that nobody here is saying that. However, given the vast differences in fish handling techniques, depth, and temperatures that fish are caught from during the course of the year, the tagging studies don't lie. Unless, of course, you think fish are so smart that they...

    Weather Modification, yea or nay?

Average is a horrible way to look at precip in ND. In reality, it is not a "normal" distribution, it is skewed. So in all cases, the "average", or better put, the statistical Mean is higher than the Median (where half the data points are above and half are below). In ND, the monthly Means...

    National Grasslands

Guy, # is originally known as the pound sign. In the Corps, a well used expression was to tell someone to go "pound sand", rather than telling them to titty sprinkle off. - - - Updated - - - nvrmnd, I just fully read your post.

Protecting fiberglass on the rear deck?

Kinda looks like the kid friendly, multi-colored floor mats that fit together like a puzzle piece. I now use my kid's old ones in the shop next to the work bench. Awesome damn things, available at Menards and Sam's club for a fraction of what I suspect the Seadeck stuff would set a person...
