    Things you eat/make while camping

Camping isn't much different than living for me. The food is gonna be good and if it isn't coming off my GMG at home it'll come off my charcoal grill at the lake. My fav this year is ring sausage, bacon, and corn cooked over the fire.

    Towing question

Spend the extra money and get a 1/2 Ton. Even if it's only used to pull a few times a year it'll be worth it. Don't think of your kids in a Tacoma or Frontier between the ages of 7-10, think of them crunched in the back at the ages of 13-17.... I've sat in the back of a Tacoma and was hunched...

    New record Zander

Well we have a 30 year experiment going on Spiritwood and it hasn't seemed to effect the smallies or walleye in that lake to my knowledge.

Warriors on the Water ND 2019

I'm only on my second year attending, but the level of organization keeps getting better each time. Rain aside, it's always fun to get on the big lake, meet new people, and see more familiar faces each time. They've got a great event here.

Jigging Raps vs Spinnig Reels Anti Reverse

Never had more fun fishing than slammin crappie and 'eyes in November/December last ice season. Hoping to put them to use as mentioned above this year.

Tri Tip for supper at Lake Metigoshe

Tritip is one of my favorite things to cook for the last year now. Somedays i wonder if i have more pictures of meat than my kids on my phone....

    Half tons & Campers

People who can't handle someone pulling a camper safely can straight eat my ass. The best way to avoid assholes is to pull the camper early in the morning or evening into night when the traffic isn't as high. Works great for me, but even when I didn't have that option most people have been...

    MPG towing the boat

My '17 Tundra advertised 13city and 17highway, I rarely hit 17 and my speeds varied from 68-82mph. Most of the time it was mid 15 to low 16 mpg. That 38gal fuel tank is just amazing even though it'll cost a guy $80 or more to fill her full.

    Montana poacher banned for life

I'd be welling to bet my theory is 50% true - Once a poacher, always a poacher.

    MPG towing the boat

The trucks keep getting uglier each year. I can't tell the difference between a 1/2 ton Ram and GMC other than that 8 point end gate. Any truck can be a lemon. I've owned three Tundra's now (08, 17, now an 11) and all of them have been great to me. I had a 3/4 Ram diesel and it was great to me...

    MPG towing the boat

I've always been very impressed with my Tundra's and I've owned three now. My '17 would pull my 38' bumper pull and still manage 7-8 mpg. My latest Tundra ('11) doesn't do quite as well, but I like the style of the truck a lot more and it's leveled with bigger tires... At one point I just quit...

    new to boat fishing

These guys are right, nobody likes someone stuck on the ramp looking confused. Get a pair of ear muffs and make sure the boat runs first. Be proficient at backing up. Experienced boaters come in all ranges of patience, especially people wanting to fish. My advice, if you are very new, is to take...

    Smoke in the air.

Maybe i'm getting old and never noticed it before, but to me it seems the last 3 years have been much smokier than the 3-5 prior to that? IDK, it won't stop me from doing what i want. Suchs for asthma people tho.

    Blue tooth ear phones

I've been thru a few pairs of Bluetooth headphones. First were a pair of beats by dre my wife won, I thought they were the shit, but still had a "cord" so to speak, which connected the two buds and ran behind the neck. A couple years later I started to research completely wireless buds. If you...

    Pelican Point (Jamestown)

It was reported as a partial winter kill, but most of that seems to have been Buffalo fish and maybe some forage.... Saturday looks nice so I'd think you can find some fish off the fishing pier.

    Hulu + Live vs. Cable

Upgrading the internet's bandwidth would be worth it to prevent buffering. We don't watch much TV in the summer, so the month-by-month services that I can disconnect any time I want are perfect for us. HBO NOW, Netflix, Hulu, DirecTV Now at times, ESPN +, it all saves money in the long run. Also...

    Hulu + Live vs. Cable

Hulu Live is pretty damn good. Only thing that I didn't like was I didn't get local channels in Bismarck. This was quite a few years ago when it was still in the BETA version. Now I pick up all the local Fargo channels since moving away from Bis.... Used it off and on for 3 years now, mainly for...
