    Freezing sewer vent pipes

Went up and unplugged mine today. Luckily i don't have all that steep of a roof so it's not all that painful of a task.

Tattoos... who on NDA has at least one?

For me it meant i was 18 and "cool".... hung on to it for 14 years and hated it for 10 of them before i figured out what i wanted to cover it up with.

Tattoos... who on NDA has at least one?

Six for now. Took about a 10 year hiatus, then started my barbwire cover-up, which is now a half sleeve.

    Freezing sewer vent pipes

Yes your toilet will make bubbly sounds after you flush it because there is no room for the air to escape up the sewer vent, instead it comes back through your toilet. Never tried the WD 40 trick, but if you have a broom stick and hot water that usually takes care of it for a good week or so.

    Military question

I started my retirement career this year, 8 years in advance to build the business and hopefully stabilize the two incomes to what i make now(ish). I love serving my country, but i can echo what others say about missing alot of time with family. It's only getting worse.

    Ice around Robinson/Pettibone?

Agreed. I haven't been on ice in that exact are but have been to Coal Lake and Hinsz Lake at varying times of the year. On smaller lakes I've seen less ice than a bigger lake like Audubon (Nelson Bay). I've also seen the ice become much more sketchy on the smaller lakes. If you go I wouldn't...

    Military question

Joined the Army National Guard two months after I turned 17 and haven't looked back since. Three deployments, and i'd imagine i'll hit four at some point, but we sign the dotted line for a reason. Coming up on 16 years, work full-time for the NG, and I hope to call it quits in 8 years with a...

    Ice fishing this weekend

I got the Refuge, $299 with shipping from L&M Supply. It was in my driveway four days after I ordered it. I highly recommend their store if you are going to buy online. I really wanted the Escape, but I couldn't justify spending the extra $100 at the time. I am pretty happy with how big it is...

    Early Ice~

I've been on ice that thick several times this year. Maybe not the smartest, just have to be careful. Only difference between snow and I is I didn't have a lunker like that on the end of my lines.

    Pellet Smoker/Grill Recommendations

Great to hear. I've only used GMG Fruitwood and Gold blend. It's been windy so I haven't really used mine much since thanksgiving, but I intend on getting some long smoking in on every nice day we get.

    Things my dog ate

Added an american bulldog to the family a year ago. Coolest dog ever, but he will eat and chew literallly anything.

    What is this fish?

I worked in a fish farm in my high school years sorting tilapia.... definitely not that. That's as far as my knowledge base goes.

Do you prefer to hunt alone?

Prefer to hunt with my old man, but anything after that I prefer to be alone unless i'm hunting pheasant (cuz I don't have a bird dog).

    Radon gas

I don't believe an air exchanger does help, but I can't exactly explain why. Any reading over 4ppm is recommended to have a mitigation system installed. That's a pretty nice map BTW.

    Radon gas

In North Bismarck I believe it's more common, not sure about SE ND. In Colorado it's huge and nearly every home in say, Boulder, has a radon mitigation system.

    New to nda

Haven't quite decided yet. I want to start at either Coal Lake or venture up to Audubon, but I haven't heard much about the ice in the bays of Audubon in the last week? I plan on being mobile; might even try to hit up to three lakes if I don't find a bite i'm liking.
