No muzzy either. Year 4 for me.... by the sounds of it I have a long ways to go for that one! I wish you all a prosperous and enjoyable hunt. Looks like i'll be pheasant hunting hard this year.

Couldn't even draw a doe tag.... not sure what I did to the world, but I'll live to shoot another day.

No e-mail for me yet.... and like @Kickemup says - their website is virtually inaccessible at the moment.

    Ice Rod Cases

I have a soft case from cabela's that i bought off bisman for $20. Have to use the sleeves with it. I found it not to be too terrible a pain in the arse with spoons and jigs, but any kind of chubby darter is a nightmare. All in all a huge improvement from putting them in my trusty 5 gallon...

    Fallen Brother Memorial Fund

Great cause here gentlemen. At the age of 32 currently i can't imagine how his family would handle this. My thoughts are with them.

    Ice Fishing Gadgets

I have already started. I know exactly what i want for a house (3 kids) and i'm upgrading to a K-drill this year. Flasher is fairly simple too. Had my eyes on a Vex FL-18.... Had a Marcum LX-6 last year but i just couldn't stand pushing buttons and going thru menus to adjust my settings. Gonna...

    Trash in Lakes

I now realize I should ensure I have TP and/or baby wipes in the p'toon.... it's only a matter of time til it happens to me.

    Ice Fishing Gadgets

Given the fact that I have to buy a new auger, ice house, and flasher I am NOT looking forward to it. One step at a time....

    Souris river shore fishing

I have heard, if you can actually believe this, trust me, it's crazy, that fishing from a boat can also present amazing opportunities, if, IF you can find the patterns of said fish.

    East End Sakakawea

I was going to hit the east side on Sunday, but then remembered the Gov Cup was this weekend and decided I will wait for another calm day to hit the big lake. That and half my arm was still healing from some ink I had done on Thursday evening. After reading all the reports this year I really...

    What's your sonar setup?

FML I feel like I novice.... I can never fish with any of you because I will end up bankrupt.... someday, when the kids are gone, or I hit the lotto....

    audubone smallies

An as sometimes rather frequent McClusky Canal fisherman i can confirm that a 1/4jig with any type of powerbait will smash some bass. Topwater lures around this time of year should work well. Actually, if i'm being honest, about the only thing i haven't caught a smallie on yet is a daredevil...

    jigs...

I light the play of a 1/4 over an 1/8. I feel i can keep the jig closer to bottom and do more with it on the retrieve. 3/8 for deeper, windier days.

    Best fishing/boating shoes.

They are very comfy, IMO, once you get used to separated toes. Easy to wash and clean. Several different styles to choose from. I usually pick what i like from their site and them watch 6pm.com to find a steal..... usually get them anywhere from 40-65% off.

    Devil's suggestions?

Anyone have good shore fishing advice, or mainly spots to shorefish, on the lake. I'll be in the area the next two days and will have some time each day. I like to pitch jigs, not sure if thats effective from shore anywhere on this lake. I also have a nice dead stick set up. Would be much better...

    Best fishing/boating shoes.

Crocs if you prefer a loose fitting shoe. I prefer Vibram FiveFingers. They are toe shoes and tight fitting. They provide enough protection against all surfaces, have a good feel, and most importantly i'm not afraid to get them wet. I also run in them during the winter on a treadmill. It's all...
