yes it will because fishing from shore on foot will really narrow down the spots to fish ;:;rofl

    New boat

I'm go out on a limb here and make a WAG, my guess from anybody that owns top of the line boat is..............................what they own . So let me get the list going - Yar-Craft, Ranger, Skeeter, Warrior, Lund, Vexus, Triton, Nitro, Larson, and there might even be a tuffy die-hard in...

    Onboard charger

I don't leave mine plugged in, typically only a day or so or until the batteries are charged and then I unplug. in the winter I'll plug it in once a month or a day or two. On occasion if I fish late into the day on a Sunday, I might leave it plugged in for the week but i don't do that very...

    Onboard charger

Surprised no one suggested a Dual-Pro charger. They are well known to be one of the best in the industry. Heck, if I recall right, they used to have display units that were submerged in a fish tank charging away.

    New boat

This about NOT taking water over the nose, not keeping the bow down. If the bow is down like some other boats, your gonna have wet feet and floors on rough days. In all fairness to the OP, the Reata's were one of the worst for scooping waves over the nose, most any other glass boat will be an...

    New boat

echo Yar-craft for the umpteenth time in this thread.......................:;:deadhorse. Can't say I have any issue with the 72" TM on my 219 popping out of the water on rough days, and it's an Ulterra so you loose about 4-6" of shaft length. I can say the 60" on my 186 would come out of the...

BRP - Evinrudes parent company, will stop making ETECS and G2’s

You'll find a bad apple in every bucket if you look hard enough. I'm opposite of most, I was a happy Merc owner and bought a boat that was powered by a one of those fabulous bullet proof grey Yamaha 200 hpdi's. Was a POS from day one that no one could figure out, had it to three very reputable...

    Ranger Trailers

Well, that might be problem for some however mine is never going to see salt and if it does, it'll be washed upon reaching it's destination. I doubt that's an issue for 99% of boat owners, just sayin. What I can say, is trailers that don't have stainless hardware start showing signs of rust on...

    Ranger Trailers

Yeh, I know most were very happy with their Ranger trailers and from what I could see, they mad a nice trailer. With that said, EZ Loader has everything from cheap trailers to very nice trailers. I've had an EZ Loader underneath each of my last two Yar-crafts and the Skeeter before those. Each...

    Boat battery question

The battery should be the least of your worries. Fried ecu’s For your engine(s) and other direct wired electrical equipment would be my bigger worry at the moment. I would pull the battery, hook it up to a regular charger and see if it’ll take a charge with nothing hooked up. If it takes a...

    New merc 450.

Well, that's a whole nother debate......is it really any different than buying a 400 Verado and doing a computer upgrade to kickout 450hp? I know you can insure it, and technically speaking boats over 20ft are not regulated by the coast guard for hp, thats purely up to the manufacture. Now...

    New merc 450.

FWIW, I loved my 1895 Storm SC. It was one of the best pure fishing boats I've had the pleasure to own. Yours looks like nice well kept DC version.

    New merc 450.

I ran that boat for 6 seasons with a 2006 225 Optimax, 25 more HP, less weight (no kicker), and less wind resistance (mine was a side console). Finding the sweet spot between engine height and running a custom worked DAH 21 Tempest, it was a 60 mph boat on GPS. using a paddle wheel is not an...

    New merc 450.

It’s river runner recreation in Alberta. Apparently the owner has a man made pond for shaking down new boats before they send them out. Atleast that’s the story on Facebook. There’s actual video of it running on the yarcraft owners group page.

    New merc 450.

SDMF, I had a 2000 1895 Storm SC with a 06' 225 Opti and a worked DAH Tempest Plus, it was a 60 mph boat depending on how it was loaded. I suppose the later erra ones labeled as a 2095 with 250 Pro XS loaded really light and set up perfectly might get 65+-?

    New merc 450.

That same dealership hung a Seven’s Marine 557 on the back of a 219 a few years ago, they did a white and green 209 with a four Hundo ( that one’s running around Sakakawea), and now this masterpiece . This one seems to draw my eye to it more than the others, that 450 just looks right back there!

anyone care to hazard a guess....

Every-time a thread like this comes up, it always delves into the whole money thing. I guess I just don’t understand why people care so much about others, if they have money, if they financed it for 5 years or 30 years, what they all have, or how they use it. I say, to each there own. If they...

    Pellet Grills and Smokers

Hmm, that's interesting. I've had mine about the same amount of time and just vacuumed it out for the first time last week. Was noticing I would have to run the start cycle several times to get it going ;:;banghead. Probably supposed to clean it more often I suppose, lol. Otherwise, it sits on...
