    Pellet Grills and Smokers

I'll second the green mountain Daniel Boone. I did find the limit was 22lbs of prime rib at Christmas. It turned out fabulous but that is officially all you can fit on the baby GMG!

And yes, the dock was in, and we didn't see any ice other than some piled up on shore. We didn't venture to the south side of the lake however and with the wind blowing out of the north / northwest, the remaining ice may have been on the other side of the lake.

    Introduction

I blew the dust of mine on Saturday and put in at the old marina at Stevenson. Fishing was awfully slow but it was great to get out on the water again. Must've been 20 or so trucks and trailers in the parking lot so I wasn't the only one with that idea. There were at least 4 of those nice...

    Verado trim ?

You might want to have a dealer check where the trim limit is set via the computer. I’ve been told they can adjust it to a certain maximum value as allowed by the computer. It’s a dealer only thing. If they find it’s already programmed to the max setting, then your back to playing with engine...

    Verado trim ?

I think all the Mercury engines have a trim limit once above a certain RPM, somewhere around 2,000 or 2,500 rpm; and it limits how far you can trim up. If you were able to trim to the trim stop, and not blow out your prop, it sounds like you engine might be mounted to low.

    Sweet Corn Patch

The last try was definitely a seed issue, I’ve had some decent stands also. Seed wise, I’m just looking for recommendations of what people have had good luck using. Brand, species, and where you bought it. Would like roundup ready stuff that is treated that won’t cost a small fortune..... if I...

    Sweet Corn Patch

Its more about doing it than what we actually harvest. I'd be way money ahead to just buy the few cobs we need, lol.

    Sweet Corn Patch

I typically try to wait for the first good weed sprout, normally around the 1st of June, then spray, wait a few days for the weeds to start dying off, then till and seed. I've also tilled, sprayed, and then seeded. Can't say I noticed a lot of difference between those two different practices...

    Sweet Corn Patch

Yeh, I'd never get finished if I tried to pick weeds on a 1/4 acre plot. By the time I finished, new ones would be growing, lol.

    Sweet Corn Patch

So, I'm looking for some help from you guys that have had success with food plots and specifically sweet corn. I have 300' x 30' across the back of my property that I've used on and off to plant sweet corn. The family picks what we want, then I let whoever wants to come pick, have at it; and the...

Open Water - Pike Fishing Tournaments

Thanks for the ideas guys. I hadn’t ever noticed any but thought maybe DL had one that I didn’t know about since I don’t get over that way very often. I do think it would be fun if done at the right time of the year and most people don’t care if you slay big gators on “their” lake, lol. I know...

Open Water - Pike Fishing Tournaments

I’ve never heard of one being done in ND. Does anybody know of any strictly northern pike fishing tournaments held in ND? My son and I both really enjoy pike fishing at various times of the open water season and he asked the other day about fishing a pike tournament. Really never crossed my mind...

    Sakakawea Water Level 2020

I've been down snooping around the lake quite a bit over the last couple of weeks and I was thinking we were closer to 1835 but I see as of today it's still reported at 1840.16. I guess I've gotten way to used to it being up around 1850 the last couple of years! I do some sleding out west and...

The GOOD things & changes you're seeing in this mess?

The great part, Without chasing kids to BBall tourneys and all over the place we’ve done all kinds of stuff that’s been neglected around the house. Cleaning, putting shit together that’s been in boxes for years, and some well needed re-arranging. Also tackled lots of little to-do’s that were not...
