    Spring Pike Fishing Question

    I’m not familiar with fishing ft peck but I would think so. Water is cold so they’ll still be seeking warmer water which will be shallow. The fish are spawned out but it should still be decent fishing in my opinion. They are still biting shallow on Sak.

    Got a Lund 1775 pro-v tiller. Going to pick up my brand new Ranger 621 this week. I hope it’s as good to me as the Lund has. I suspect it will.

    I tried to buy a flak jacket but it didn’t work out. Gotta try a different route. Brush + rubber makes sense to me but I think they are new. - - - Updated - - - I did buy the flak jaket windshield protector

    Does anybody have the class 4 towtector with the combo of brushes and rubber? I am looking to buy some kind of protection for the new boat and hadn’t seen the combo type. Hoping someone who is using a towtector can tell me how well they work. Thanks!

    Sitting in the cabin at Douglas bay and can see the ice disappearing. I saw a couple of good sized holes on the main lake and the bay is about 1/2 open now. I predicted the 21st and I’d say it’s gonna be more like 26th or 27th.

    Just to be clear, I really am not a fan of slot limits either but I don’t know how else to protect that resource. Maybe it’s just not that important and doesn’t make an impact in the end. I know it’s legal and as long as folks are compliant I need to let it go.

    Open water is coming!

    Learn boat control on a totally new rig. Going from a tiller to a big sparkly will be different but fun. Pretty much done building the cabin on Sak so now I can fish!! Looking forward to working on trolling setup and consistency. Going piking this weekend. We’ll see how that goes.
