Still wondering why the desire to bother with the leader with all the added headaches.
I run leaders on all my ice lines but feel it's worth it when things are moving a lot slower. I do a lot of pitching and never felt like direct tying hindered anything.
1. Didn't know what (if any) effect the overspray and bleed through might have on gel coat, wax, rubber, plastic, trailer and anything else it might have contacted.
2. Wanted air flow beneath the tarp to help dry faster after spraying.

I was just going to post another update to this thread since the cover took a couple hard rains at the campground this weekend and boat stayed nice and dry.
I've installed trollmasters on a Yamaha and a mercury. Both worked great and very easy to install. I was skeptical of the wireless remote so stuck with wired on the second one.
Don't drop anchor in a community hole.
Slowing down and coming off plane next to another boat throws a much bigger wake at them than just staying on plane and continuing past.
