    They are not wrong. The Sheyenne and the James Rivers and all their feeder creeks are some of the most productive fisheries on the east side of the state.

    The Red River runs right between Fargo and Moorhead. The Sheyenne River runs on the west side of of West Fargo and you are less than a 1/2 hour from a bazillion Minnesota lakes. All contain fish and rivers contain just about every species that the midwest has to offer.

    I have very much found it harder to enjoy ice fishing. This may be because the decline of fishable lakes, decline in "secret spots", or more than likely because the older I get the less I like the cold and the work associated with ice fishing. ......don't tell my kid this........
