Did it make you guys get a HIP number even if you selected that you dont plan to waterfowl hunt. I am getting a Sportsman license. I am only getting the general game and small game stamps for my kids but it is forcing me to register a HIP for them as well (I selected they dont plan to hunt waterfowl) and it wants to charge me $5 for each of them for a wetland enhancement charge. Are you guys seeing the same thing?

FYI - I called the NDGF today. It was a glitch in the system when applying as a party, and they are going to fix it!

A good bit of advice. I missed out on a turkey tag this year. I was unaware my DL expired in January of 2026. I went to apply for my Turkey tag. No dice. Taking work off to drive to Fargo isn't in the cards until March and the DL places around me are only open on February 29th or when there is a solar eclipse.

If you have a kiosk close to you, they renew licenses now, plus they only close when the store closes, like our local grocery store is open until 9pm.

i switched our ins provider a few years ago and found out my license was expired. first question out of the dmv lady was did you drive here?

Wow that is great advice. I might have to take a drive tonight. My only question is, I wear glasses, I wonder if I can still renew at a kiosk.

You can if there is no restriction to glasses on your license now. If there is already a glasses restriction on your license, you have to have a DOT vision check form less than 6 months old and renew online, or without that, renew in person.
