Had an episode about 3 1/2 miles out in the gulf on a kayak this week. Couldn't peddle all that way back...had to go overboard n feed the fish. Buddy yelled over to me "what the hell are you doing, you ok?"....I yelled "DONT COME OVER HERE!"
Since I've past the age of 30, every dump has been an emergency, and only shows up at the most inconvenient times. What happened to the time when holding it for a day or two was possible...like, "not now colon, I'm busy"
Roofing the 91st space wing on Minot air Force Base. Armed guards came up and escorted us off the roof. What's strange is the night before they made us move all our equipment away from the building, and they were putting black garbage bags over the named parking spots, and lots of other prep...
People like you are the God damn anti Christ! You're the reason Scheels hides the open water gear in September to make room for dumb ass tip ups and tiny jigs.
Why is it, if it's cheaper it's a knock off or imitation. Some of these lines have been around as long or longer than PP. But somehow if it's used by some pros, over advertised, and stamped made in america, youre happy to pay ten times more for it and then label everything else a cheap knock...
From what I read on other forums, those dyneema lines are all made in the same foreign factory.

Knot strength is gonna be hard to tell for me because I run mono or fluro leaders that are a pound test or so less than my main line. I'll abuse the piss out of it in Florida...
Odor or color doesn't bother me since I always use fluro or mono leaders. But so far I haven't noticed any odor. Today was my first day with it on a jigging rod. I used the 15lb fluorescent orange Hercules braid. Got a few walleyes, one was 8-9lbs, maybe 6 carp, a few cats, 4-5 boulders, and...
I've recently tried these off brand lines, and as far as I can tell, they're as good, if not better than the name brand stuff for 1/10 the price. It's available in waaaay more options as far as color, length, and lb test. An 1100 yard spool runs about 20 bucks w/free shipping on eBay or...
It's a mile by mile process, one river, lake, and slough, at a time. A new pothole is populated with minnows and perch within a year from waterfowl transporting eggs in their feathers.
I think we should do all we can...but there's no way to stop natural hitch hikers, carried by waterfowl, turtles, waterbugs, and other semi aquatic critters that travel from one body of water to another on a daily basis.
Big walleye are weird, you might get one in 2 feet, and another in 40 feet. There's been zero rhyme or reason to big walleyes for me as far as depth is concerned.
