    The Sheyenne and I suspect other smallish rivers are good all through Oct. I would guess the waters get cooler faster and it puts the walleyes in the "I'd better put the feed bag on before ice up" mood.

    For me, trophy quality is directly related to how well I think that deer will taste with onions. No matter how long I boil, fry, bake, or saute' the horns, they still come out crunchy and tough.

    Hit the grocery store again as an afterthought on an errand run with the wife and discovered that green/red/yellow sweet peppers are $3 each and cereals can be over $7 a box with most being over $5. (Oi) I think I might need a bigger garden and a greener thumb.
