    I run Cooper tires, and I am pretty sure they are made of iron. 35,000 on them now and still look new. But, not the best for traction IMO.

    Just my opinion, but I agree with you when it comes to rods. I bought my kids some cheeky rods (knowing they may get ruined), and I've caught a few fish on them while they are shnoozing ... but I have lost more fish on those rods than I have caught. They have been demoted to kids shore fishing...
