    Best tower blinds??

    I hunted out of a muddy blind this past weekend and it gave me an achy neck and back. The horizontal windows are too low to comfortably look out of when sitting in a folding chair without sliding way down or ducking your head when sitting up. Kind of like driving a car with the rearview mirror...

    Opening weekend it probably won't be a problem to bring him to the stand with an ATV, but after a week of getting chased around, I think the deer will react much differently to vehicle traffic. Good Luck!!

    There's so much corn and beans still in the fields where I hunt that just seeing a deer is a success right now. Haven't seen one buck sniffing around yet and I've been out quite a bit. I kinda think gun hunting around here might be a bit sketchy if we keep getting the wet stuff from the sky...

    I like to do both and I try to keep things as simple as I can. For me, there is a certain comfort knowing you can just drive right to your spot (ice house), cut a few holes, not have to worry about wind or a boat or boat control, be warm and dry, drop a few lines, sit back in a comfy chair...

    We use hog fence held down with weed barrier staples or pins. We have heavy deer pressure where these trees are as you can see by the pounded in trails and it works like a charm.

    I guess you can put me in the short sighted column SDMF. I've never poured a systemic insecticide directly on a deer, moose, elk, or any other game like I have cattle, hogs, and other domesticated livestock which lasts for months within the tissues. I've sprayed hog/poultry housed every week...

    Thanks Enslow!! Hog fence works real well on my hunting land to keep deer at bay and it's worked to keep the deer off the trees in the backyard all winter when we feed them. I've got some extra if you want to give it a whirl.
