    High Beams (AGAIN)

Your right Rowdy. I guess I was trying to avoid explanations for so many different scenarios. Sorry about that. How can I put this hmm mm you know it kind of depends on your day too. I will admit I set my cruise on 76 to 77 often. If I am passing a truck doing 65 I will not push it further...

    Handlaoding

Only in my 45ACP. It has one heck of a hollow point, but still feeds perfectly. I shot a coon about 40 ft up a big cottonwood tree. It sounded like you smacked a 50lb bag with a 2X4. It sure smacked him off that branch. I have the same configuration for my 9mm. The only problem is it takes...

    High Beams (AGAIN)

No I shouldn't do it either, but sometimes with a guy right on your bumper your trying to get out of the way. No matter how close they get I'm not going any faster than 5mph over the speed limit.

    It becomes addictive

Do you guys remember the old Lee loader that you used a hammer to do your reloading. I started out with that and a model 43 Winchester in 22 Hornet in 1960 I think it was. I would hike up to the neighbors and shoot a few gophers, then sit behind a big rock and hammer another 20 rounds out. I...

    High Beams (AGAIN)

In the event they needed a witness. Guys like that are going to kill someone. I know a judge will throw out anything less than five mph over the speed limit so I feel safe at 79 mph, and I may push that another couple miles per hour, but that's it. I was doing at least 10 mph faster than...

    High Beams (AGAIN)

I will follow a truck only doing a couple miles an hour less than myself. If it's five mph I'm going to pass, but I'm not going to get a speeding ticket doing it. If your behind and don't like that, to bad. I hope the highway patrol gets people that don't like that on radar. I am legal, they...

    High Beams (AGAIN)

I am 68 and use cruise so I don't go over the speed limit. My problem is passing a truck and I am already going the speed limit or a mile or two over. Then some guy rides my bumper trying to force me to go faster. If I am at the speed limit I am not going to break the speed limit to keep this...

    High Beams (AGAIN)

I sometimes forget, but it sure does help. Weedy1 I think many of those cars nowadays are built for city boys. Especially the higher end cars. Many people I know add extra power after factory lights. My FJ Cruiser has led wide angel on the front push bar. It lights it up to the side to...

    Does anyone volunteer?

I have done nothing with hunter ed, but I worked with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for 19 years. Two of the dozen merit badges covered firearms and archery.

    High Beams (AGAIN)

Ditto. I may add it's just as bad with the asshat on your bumper with the brights on. At least with the Buick I can hit a button and bring up the rear window shade. Then turn my side mirror back in his face. Idiots. Da^&%$ Obama voters.

Why are people so obsessed with selfies

Self absorption. Look at me look where I am. So many want to be a celebrity, but their mother had to hang a pork chop around their neck to get the puppy to play with them.

    Handlaoding

The 45 ACP is the Lyman Devastator. With Lyman #2 Alloy it comes in at an advertised 185 gr, but I don't load it hot and keep it around 900 fps. At that speed I get by with wheel weight and 1% added tin. Darn tin was $4 a pound years ago. Now you can't buy it in one pound bars at the local...

    Handlaoding

Rifle and handgun only. I don't shoot enough shotgun to pay off so I sold my 12 gauge loader years ago. I cast for 9mm, 357, 44, 45, and 45/70. I don't cast that often, but when I do it's two or three days straight and I am set for a year. I suppose I loaded 5000 rounds this year on a...

Question of Devils Lake elevation pits farming versus fishing

Allen, sorry I can't quote your post, or cut and paste. I am glossing for bear and only get one bar on the phone. Anyway in answering to your treaty question, it's the 1909 International Boundary Waters Treaty Act. It was a point of contention haunting Garrison Diversion. Transferring Biola...

    Chrono or not?

I chrono everything. Then I adjust the velocities in my program until everything works. For example I have had scopes that move 21.5 inches when I actually dialed 20 inches. Changing ballistic coefficient didn't work so I had to add 45 fps to get the scope and impact to agree.

Question of Devils Lake elevation pits farming versus fishing

Not to mention the treaty with Canada that would have to be violated.

    FNG checking in!

I think know those may be faster than my old 43 Winchester (Hornet).

    FNG checking in!

That newfangled H110 sure works good, but a 256gr Keith cast of Lyman #2 loaded for deer has to burn 2400. Great to have an experienced loader to bs with.

    FNG checking in!

2400 hmmmm do you like Elmer Keith's 44 mag load, or do you use it in a Hornet? Climb aboard, but hold on there are some bumps.

    Wabbits

I recently picked up a Beeman Quiet Tech dual caliber. It takes about 30 seconds to switch calibers. Then I ordered some heavy Pellets from Midway. So far I have only been splattering fruit.
