Looks like the boys at bone collector(*) got a job writing for target walleye.

That is a pig fish. I can't imagine I'd release it.

Lincoln, kinda...
Let's see, pulled out of 32 feet of water and then held out in the perfect pose to stretch out the internals.

Guess we won't likely have to worry about that one being caught again.

Damn nice fish though, I wonder why he didn't want to put it on the wall?

That fish is not 19 lbs but is very big. Looks like a 15 maybe. Many people release large fish in montana. It is just a different mind set over there on keeping everything you catch. Here in ND you wont see many fish like this only because catch and release is a hoax....

I'd have to see it on the scale to believe it's almost 20 lbs. I'm sitting here comparing it to the 20lb brown trout hanging on the wall above me and it just doesn't look like it has the same mass.

Nice fish. I would have put it on the wall, but I am a no good fish pig. Not sure if he meant to type 19.6 chins instead of pounds?:;:huh

I shot many 20-pound-plus carp back in my high school days, and if that wally is 19, it must be mighty, mighty dense.

Or "big boned" as the ladies from Cando like to explain their figures...

Maybe it's 19.6 pounds, maybe it isn't. Pictures can be very deceiving but that's a damn big belly when compared to the size of its head. Lots of criticism here with absolutely no basis behind it.

IF ya click on the picture of the guy and fish, read the comments. One person says it was caught two years ago in a tourney and never went 19 pounds.

the guy said "This fish was caught 2 years ago at Fort Peck, pre fishing the Rock Creek tourney. Not 19#. Really nice fish though."

I think the term state record is thrown around a little too often on these C&R fish.

Kinda like that big pike caught at Devils on the fly rod. Giant fish, but no state record.
