2017 Black Hills elk hunt

This was my 32nd guided elk hunt since 1976 . We saw 24 bulls in 10 days and only 3 other hunters . Taken one mile from my cabin .

Rifle . I walked 600 yards. Up the road to see if it was blocked with down beetle trees and saw another 6 point bull while they were boning out this bull .

Took me 10 for archery in unit 1. Have 12 for same unit and nothing yet. Unit 2 odds are getting ugly.....Lots with big numbers of points.

It's nice you got to spend 10 hunting too, to me that's the best part of hunting.
