Anybody missing a pair of chukar partridge. Fairly tame but not “tame enough”. I could probably even hit these. 😬

I’m gonna assume they’re someone’s training birds.

I was there this past weekend. Did not see any pheasants, however we saw a herd of Wild Turkeys.
You sir, did not look in the right place.

Although I shouldn’t be talking about it on the internet during the week’s eve of the ND Chinese cock slaughter.

I’d hate to get up there and be invaded by all the ‘sconies. That would be a shame!

Funny story…

When I was a kid I took the skin from one that I cleaned earlier that morning and propped it up across the road from the farm to see how many guys would blast it.

More than a few pickup came to a halt. I never did see one blast it though. This was back in the day where it was common practice to blast from the road and nobody CARED! Now they call the game warden for stopping and looking!

Hell some guys try to keep people off the damn roads even!! It’s MY road!! I will never understand.

I was in unit 1A chasing pronghorn (4B for deer unit) and only saw 1 brood and they had very little identifiable color. That hatch must have been very late this year.

I saw some down in 2H like that. Actually those were the only young ones we saw that weekend. This was 2 weeks ago though so they probably have enough to be able to tell now. Boy it was tough though! Most of the birds we saw were NOT young of the year.

Wait until all the corn comes off, then you will all need to replace the grill on your vehicles.

I'm in McKenzie county and own some pretty good pheasant ground and don't believe we will even hunt this year. Numbers way down.
