About time that no antlerless tags are issued in some units. Looks like the following units are the chosen ones:
2A
2E
2G
2G1
2G2
2L

My mind is wondering how the youth and archery seasons will be handled by the G&F in these units?

Youth doe killing does nothing to the population . Thats what the gf says ….. but if a guy says something about that then we are a bad guy

How many were sold last year that would tell the story. Now if there are 5000 it would if there are 100 it wouldnt

I don’t know . If I had to guess its in the thousands . But I don’t know

Any doe being killed affects the population imo. I am not sure our G&F would have the information on how many whitetail does were killed during the 2025 youth season?

I get surveys for every tag I have had for last several years . They must have a rough idea .

They should know how many tags were sold. Seems the deer numbers are so bad it should be mandatory reporting. With only 39 k license it should not be hard. Every time i think deer hunting sucks down here you guys remind me of what bad really is

Bill Haase from game and fish mentioned during the Bismarck advisory meeting a month or so ago that they are considering making bow tags buck-only statewide.

It's depressing that's for sure. Last year i had a tag for one of the "better" units in the state. after a week of terrible hunting I contemplated about just going pheasant hunting. I probably would have except it will probably take another 5-7 years to draw a mediocre tag again.

Re-read it - archery is still an any tag. It had been talked about making it antlered only but not happening this year.
