Back in the early 70s I did some work for a guy that had just got out of the service and he asked me what kind of deer rifle I had and I told him 308 Rem. He asked if I would trade some labor for some 308 ammo and he comes out with 2 full metal cans of 308 in stripper clips. One FMJ and the other tracer loads. Gave them too me dirt cheap so I took them. The FMJ did have a lot more whump than normal 308 and the tracers were just fun to shoot. Might still have some of the FMJ but tracers are gone. LB

Just because those 147's are the same weight, doesn't mean they're the same construction.

I'd lay a C-Note down betting the 257Wby w/100 TSX would Swiss-cheese that 1/2" plate.

Former co-worker shot a piece of 3/8" cold-rolled w/.17Rem and popped a hole @ 100yds w/factory Rem 25's.
