Can you guys tell who makes a 6.5 creedmoor? I know Savage has the lightweight hunter. What else is out there? thanks
Ruger precision has it chambered but they can't keep up with orders so who knows when the will be in stock

By the way..cheaper than dirt has left hand modelsFriend of mine looking for one in left hand...damn things are to come by for some reason.
The 6.5 Swede is very good, but for some reason never caught on. Likewise with the 260 Remington. Long tange shooters have been using the 6.5 x 284 Norma with great success, but sportsmen have not flocked to it. The Creedmoor is ballistically nearly identicle to the 6.5 Swede and 260 Remington with bullets up to 130 gr. The smart thing the desighners at Hornady did was make a shorter case holding the same amount of powder, but leaving room to use a long bullet like the 140gr in a short action. I think the design will make this caliber very popular. It is supersonic far beyond the 308 and the 30-06 and when shooting at animals long range puts more energy on target. I would use a 308 on deer to 400 yards and a Creedmoor beyond that. Beyond 600 yards there is no competition between the three. That's what I've been told and read...that the 6.5 is slowly taking over the market and predicting to really make an impression.
I agree 100% only problem is when you go that route all factory guns are sub standard. Then once your kid shoots it he thinks he needs one.
No doubt and they think everything is a POS when it doesn't have a Jewell trigger stuffed in it, the bad part is I agree with them. Shoot a LRI hammer and you'll never go back!
