It will write a report on physics before it can fix your toilette, but eventually it will do both probably.I actually think its gonna be opposite. AI isnt gonna fix your toilet but it can write a report on theoretical physics...
they are already doing this, AI is currently solving math problems humans have not been able to solve. It will unlock a world of science we have only been able to imagine to this point. With the help of ai and brain implants like the ones elon has been researching on will help fix many brain issues that science hasnt been able to fix with drugs. Being able to connect to an ai computer to find exactly why someone is paralyzed by sending a signal trough the spinal cord to were exactly the damage is and use nanotechnology to repair these nerves. With the help of ai in the next decade we will see better research that will be able to be run through computer simulation first before clinical trials happen, once ai has successfully mapped out the entire dna sequence, drugs will be able to be refined to your specific dna, which will help with less side effects. No al will help mankind until someone evil makes a supervirus that kills billions. I like google ai when researching because it gives me what exactly i am looking for without needing to look through web pages to find it.
They tried to reverse this recently and like 50 republicans voted to keep the new car mandates in place, sensors to make sure you cannot drive if you are drunk and crap, what if its an emergency, there are times when it would be better to drive a little tipsy than the alternative.Starting in'26; cars will shut down if "they" don't like how you're driving. For all intents and purposes:
Thanks Joe et al.
That kind of stuff will happen in dark rooms regardless of legislation. China is not forward thinking they are thinking how to conquerSo far this survey is confirming what I heard about and fear. People in the US are much more AI skeptical than other countries and Im afraid it will result in legislation that will hinder our development compared to other countries. The AI race is one we really cant afford to lose, but if we hamper this transition, it will cause significant harm to our ability to compete with more forward thinking countries like china.
Notable Regional Trends
- The "Anglosphere" Lag: English-speaking nations (USA, UK, Canada, Australia) are consistently rooted at the bottom of the tables regarding trust. In these countries, AI is primarily associated with job loss and disinformation.
- The Global South Boom: In emerging economies like India, Kenya, and Indonesia, AI is viewed more as a tool for economic empowerment and improving access to services (healthcare/finance).
- The Regulation Paradox: Skepticism doesn't always mean a desire to stop AI. Even in optimistic countries like India and Nigeria, there is a massive demand (over 80%) for strong government regulation to ensure the technology is governed fairly.
- Generational Divide: Across almost all countries, Gen Z and Millennials are significantly more comfortable with AI than Boomers, though even "AI-native" youth in the U.S. report high levels of concern regarding AI's impact on their future careers.
Therein lies the problem. Yes, it will unlock all kinds of amazing science stuff. However, when paired with robotics, it will also replace humans at even the most "blue collar" levels. The entirety of humanity will trend more useless and stupid until it no longer serves a purpose. It will write a report on physics before it can fix your toilette, but eventually it will do both probably.
we might end up being exhibits in a zoo with super intelligent robots watching us go about our lives... Wouldnt that be a kick in the nutz, lol Imagine a group of robots being entertained by watching humans mating, like we currently do with chimps....Therein lies the problem. Yes, it will unlock all kinds of amazing science stuff. However, when paired with robotics, it will also replace humans at even the most "blue collar" levels. no doubt AI has massive military applications, the fact that the US is developing another human operated fighter jet, considering where we were technologically, is just utter stupidity. That kind of stuff will happen in dark rooms regardless of legislation. China is not forward thinking they are thinking how to conquer
That probably won't be doable at some point. Hell there's places that don't take cash now.
Has anyone ever watched or read the books DUNE? They had to outlaw computers thinking for them because the robots took over and enslaved them, that's the premise of the whole series.I work with AI every day. It will be the end of humanity. The only questions are when and how.
that is because they don't want to have to pay a percentage to the card companies. I know when we looked at it years back it was 3 to 5 % of the invoice amount, the higher the volume the lower the % rate. $ 500,000 in sales in a year could be $ 15,000 to $ 25,000 off the top. Not sure if it still applies but at that time we were not allowed to charge additional to someone using the card or give a discount for someone using cash.LOL, he'll just have to move to Lincoln. None of the food and beverage places in Lincoln take plastic.
Yep, it's the same sheet of music from all three of the businesses. Just don't want to deal with, much less pay the CC companies.that is because they don't want to have to pay a percentage to the card companies. even the experts admit theres a chance that AI takes over and destroys humanity at some point. Most put it as fairly small though, 10 to 15%... of course they think the upsides are worth the risk, theres also a non zero chance that without AI, humans will destroy ourselves via war, pollution, unavoidable catastrophe, etc.Has anyone ever watched or read the books DUNE? They had to outlaw computers thinking for them because the robots took over and enslaved them, that's the premise of the whole series.
AI is nice to search thousands of documents and sort through them to find whatever, but to actully think and problem solve for you....ya not good
