By definition, artificial is the opposite of natural. Created by man. A copy of something in the natural world. Heavenly Father created the natural world and for time immemorial mankind has tried to copy God, improve on His creations, and in many ways just plain be God. It ALWAYS ends badly for mankind. Take cities for example. An almost completely artificial environment and almost every facet of city living negatively impacts people. Physically, Mentally, Spiritually, and Emotionally. People, when they can't take the stress and pressure of living in the artificial world man has created, ie the cities, they inevitably seek out the natural world. Hunters/Fishermen on this very site can attest to that. People need the natural, the original, they NEED Gods creations. Not a cheap copy. To answer your question, NO, I am as far from excited as one can be.
Im coming in late on this discussion, but agree with you KDM. It's already on a small scale being used for deception. Utube is full of cute cuddly wild animals keeping people safe. The bunny huggers are deceiving the stupid already.
At least once a week my wife and I pray for wisdom and discernment for ourselves, and our children snd grandkids. Wisdom to understand God's word and the world around us. Discernment to protect us from deception. We also pray that for our leaders, but with the caveat that they have the desire to do what is right.
AI lends new perspective to the old cliche: I cant believe my eyes.
Also wisdom and intelligence are two different things. Some may call wisdom common sense, but that's becoming uncommon more every day.

Do you mind sharing what your specific job is ?
I work for one of the largest software companies in the world. Leveraging AI to solve various problems has become part of just about every role.
I've seen it come a along way in a short time. For example, most new code is now writen entirely or mostly by AI.

Thank you. I was hoping someone that knew the industry would chime in.

AI taking over the world and robbing everyone of jobs is about on par with way back when people thought there would be flying cars cuz of the jetsons. Maybe we will get there but you or I won't be alive to see it I don't think.
