UPDATE: There are reports of an active shooter in Bismarck on the east side of town. Police have confirmed that shots were fired by a 36-year-old male near North 35th street and Rosser Avenue.
We can confirm that the shooter has barricaded himself inside a

home​

. Police have confirmed that officers were shot at. A swat team is trying to breach residence using a robot. Homes in the area have been evacuated as well.

Yeah, no issues to the public. The guy is holed up inside a home and the PD is talking to him. The immediate homes around this area were already evacuated, even though a construction crew is working directly behind the condo!!

I heard the shot this morning at 7:40am but thought it was a truck/trailer rig next door at Nordex. I wasn't on the suspicion of it being gunfire.

A man who shot at police last night has barricaded himself in a residence on the 700 block of N. 35th Street.
He is believed to still be heavily armed and dangerous.
The incident started around 9 pm last night when the man threatened to kill another man in the home.
Since then the man and woman who were inside the home with him have been removed and unharmed.
At about 4 am, gas was fired into the residence.
Police then heard shots which they believe were fired at officers.
No one was injured.
Neighbors in the area were evacuated shortly after 4 am.
The suspect is believed to be a 36 year old male according to Police.
Bismarck Police say the suspect has a concerning criminal history.
The Bismarck SWAT Team and Bomb Squad have been called on scene.
The area blocked off.
Police are advising people to stay away from the area.
According to KX News reporters on scene, Police are using caution in their search.
They have fired gas again this morning.
There is no public in danger at this time.

Im wondering why they dont go in and see what hes up to... No activity for 6 hours? Im guessing he shot himself.
