Message: <blockquote data-quote="SDMF" data-source="post: 35168" data-attributes="member: 412"><p>There is a diagram in your owners manual.  It will tell you what position within the 7-pin is for which function and what color wire corresponds to it.  The middle post is usually the actual brakes.  The 6 wires around it will be for lights.  Running lights, brake lights, turn signals.  Most of the time the wiring kit for the trailer will have the wires colored the same as the ones on the pickup.  After that it's string the wires where you want them using wire loom for anything that's exposed, solder, butt connectors, and heat shrink tubing.</p></blockquote><p></p>
