There was another thread a while back talking about AR scopes and what everyone is using, but technology has changed a bit over the last couple years.

https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1...e-scope-15-4x-20mm-1-10-mil-adjustments-matte

I am considering the above scope, but wondering if anyone has used this the Bushnell AR series or anything else you'd recommend. I am looking to stay at 4 power max, i'll only be target shooting. illuminated or fixed reticle make no difference to me.

Thanks in advance!

I have a Nikon ar-223 1.5-4.5 with the bdc reticle. I like it but am considering a vortex strike eagle 1-8 for more magnification for coyote hunting

I have the 1x6 Stroke Eagle and wish I had the newer 1x8. My son and grandson have the 1x8 on order for theirs. They work about perfect with the 55 grain, but if you have Strelok any bullet weight works perfectly. As much as I like the Strike Eagle I more often have a 1x9 Nikon bullet drop reticle on mine, and a red dot at a 45 degree angle. I used the Strike Eagle on my 300WSM for hunting bear in timber in Montana.

I have a 1-6 and a 1-8 Vortex Strike Eagle. Both are OK. Glass is ok not super. I like the 1-6 a little more I think. I use the 1-6 more than the 1-8 so far but only had 1-8 for a couple months. Also have others with bdc reticle or mil dots. Just depends on the shooter for what you prefer. I bought the 1-6 on a whim since I got a good deal. Was not sure if I'd like it. Liked it enough to buy a 1-8 for another as I got an even better deal on that one.

vortex strike eagle 1 - 6 here. I had a Nikon .223 model, was OK but a bit heavy, long and clunky for mynAR tastes, in my opinion. I like em both but the strike eagle is my favorite.

Thanks guys, sorry to not follow up sooner. I ended up going with the bushnell optics ar-223 non-illuminated scope, 1-4 power. Haven't got to the range to try it out yet. The scope and mount off amazon were $170.
