I'll check my little water hole the Saturday of opening weekend. If it has water, I'll give it a go the next day. If not, I'll probably have to wait until mid-late October.

There's a hole somewhere in ND that isn't plumb full?

It was pretty damn dry when I set up my treestand a few weeks ago. Barely more than just some mud. Landowner tells me they have been getting rain though.

Noticed quite a few pics in the last couple days of bucks that have completely shed velvet, the ones that still have it have really shrunk down, I don't think I'll see any velvet left by the time the weekend is done. Earliest I've seen that that I can remember, usually just one or two this early, most keep it on for at least another week. Wonder what nature is telling us with that, if anything.

Have a couple good ones spotted, hoping this cool weather rolling in will have them up early.
Good luck to all!

The little water hole I'm hunting over dried up in the last couple days also. I did have one little 4x4 walk by already so there is still hope.
