My buddy is looking to upgrade his map. Which one is best? He mainly fishes Oahe.

Nothing in two years when Navionics is strictly for Garmin. It’ll be interesting where Lowrance goes from here.

Had me thinking if Lowrance and Navionics will be comptable in the future. Currently running the Navionics Hot Maps Premium thought about a upgrade to Hot Maps Platinum which i did tonight when i found Cabelas had 30.00 off with free shipping. This will be a plus on contours lines down south on Lake Oahe and those deep holes and shelfs. Cabelas 169.99 compared to Scheels at 200.00 .

Exactly...Lowrance may be forced to develop their own to stay competitive. Regardless of which brand of electronics you prefer, for us consumers it's better to have more competition in the market.

For the areas I fish, Devils/Stump, Bemidji, Detroit Lakes, the Lake Insight HD maps are exactly the same as the old Lakemaster maps for Lowrance. On the water survey maps and quite accurate.
