Going to be spending tons of time in the badlands this fall and am wondering what maps would best to use. Where does a guy find maps of the national grasslands? Are there any must haves?

the grasslands maps are a must if you are new to the area that and a trax map card in a gps should do you fine. You used to be able to get them at the grassland office in watford, i haven't had to look for one in a while maybe call the grassland office.check this link out has some good info for you.

if you don't want to carry around a map around you can always go the route of Onyx HuntMaps. you can either get the card for a GPS or you can get the app on your phone... it shows all state/federal and grasslands along with landowner names and property lines. i won't go hunting without it anymore. It seems kind of crazy to pay what they are asking for it, but after you do, you'll wonder why you didn't buy it sooner. they get $30/state/year but if you only hunt in ND thats not that bad.
