Heard there were only two, my friends wife drew one. They have been out glassing them, great year to have a tag. State record should go down again.

If you buy an archery deer tag you shouldn’t be allowed to apply for a bighorn tag imo

yea it's about time those fricking archery guys and girls learn their place. Us rifle hunters need to band together on this and we sure as hell do not need those buttheads destroying our hunting of bighorn in ND! db

Where do they auction the tag's off at? The sheep Expo down in Utah? Any link to what the tags bring?

The last one I saw was out of Minneapolis a few years back. I think it was something like 80k? Maybe Im off a bit but that's what I'm thinking it went for.

a podcast with the wildsheep foundation said that 75% of all funding for sheep and mountain goats comes from the sale of those kind of tags. that is impressive and a good way of going about it .

I have mixed feeling about the "good" but a person cannot deny the benefits of the funding.

if there was not that funding there would be no sheep so thats how i get the good as the departments dont have the time or funds to manage sheep

There's an auction held in MPLS at the Midwest Chapter of the Wild Sheep Association. ND's tag regularly brings home something in the high five digits.

Kinda crazy when you realize then that probably close to 75-80% of the funding comes from a total of maybe a handful of people.

A number of yrs ago a guy paid $28,000 at the auction. He donated it back and they resold it for $32,000.
