Try Dennis Harris, he isn't local , but I seen an ad of Facebook I believe, he from Michigan I believe, his price including shipping was on par with what the locals here are charging , and his turnaround is better than most. The quality of his workmanship is superb!

I have a hard time sending an animal to someone that I can't see their work first hand. I'd much rather wait and pay top dollar for premium work especially on animals where the hide is the trophy. I've seen too many poor mounts that are a disgrace to the animal.

Call of the wild taxidermy- Jerry Landsberger. Had two whitetails and a muley done with him and all are works of art!

How much does he charge do you remember ?

I believe it was around 550-6 if I remember correctly. Been a couple years.
