MR Bismarck river fishing 7/19/25

Fished 4.5 hrs this morning…found fish mostly below islands/shallow areas. No action on crawlers, but cranks were hot. 6-12’ deep. Caught 16 walleye but only 5 over 14”. Also caught 3 norderns. Water temp 60.

It is amazing how they are must go back south and just little ones hang around this time of year

What are your go-to cranks?

#4 salmo hornet, #4 rattling suspending glass rap and a #7-9 rapala magnum or rattling/suspending smelt-like lure. Depends on the depth which one we use. Black an silver, blue and silver, perch or firetiger.
