If any one is interested the Bismark club will be having a test June 18th and 19th. It should be a fun test and any one can enter and play. Started you dont have to have a steady dog you can hold them and all they have to do is bring back two single marks. I will be running finished and the banquet should have some good prizes. There will be some good dogs running if you just want to come watch people are welcome. Walk ups are also welcome.

It was a great test and on some great grounds. They put a lot of work in to get it done. It was also fun watching one of the best dogs around run. Seeing a 6 time grand champion is something special. We got two passes and the water test on day 2 had me sweating bullets.

I guess Kurtr is BIOLOGY major,he can idenify "what a male" is unlike this new twit supreme court judge that couldn't or wouldn't answer "what is a woman" question.

June 15-16 this year Duck factory will be having there test. Lots of openings for started dogs. Its two series one on land one on water. you can hold your dogs collar so they dont have to be steady and really laid back. Just have to get the duck close to back to you. I will be at the finished test both days if any one wants to check out some of the big dogs running.

I'd really never gave this sport a lot of thought other than it would take more time and dedication than what I have. I finally watched a video and very impressed. I could have gotten hooked on this back in the day. Worth a watch for anyone that's never saw an event like this.

Elliot is on the flatlanders Podcast with Chris Jobman one of the best retriever trainers in the nation. Elliot started out like a lot of people just wanted a nice hunting dog and might run a test or two and now he is hooked just like me. If i knew what I knew now i might have taken a whole different life path training dogs for a living is something I would love doing every day.
