I bought one this fall and man did I ever like it. I don't expect I'll ever go back to old school. Both hands free any time I want, barrel out front for weaving through willows, instant shouldering, even ATVing with it on is "acceptable".

Unlike the video's vertical muzzle demonstration I found myself walking with the rifle "even with the ground" or muzzle slightly up due to binocs on my chest and so that the stock stayed away from my legs. The only improvement will be a bit of tackiness so it stays at the angle I've chosen. It generally did until I bent down or some such.

I have been using those slings since the 1990's and like them like you do. If your ever in REI pick up a can of ?????? I don't know what they call it, but it's a rubberized material that you spray on your air mattress to keep your sleeping bag from sliding all over. Spray it on about 18 inches of your sling and the problem is over.
