How many of you guys hunt out of box blinds this time of year? Was thinking about pulling the trigger on one but not sure what separates one brand from another without actually hunting out of one. Not looking to spend a fortune on one, but am willing to spend a little more on quality!

Build your own to your specifications. I hunt out of a permanent blind quite a bit and for the cost of those plastic jobs, I'd rather build one to fit my own hunting spots and hunting style instead of trying to shoe horn something where it doesn't work. Just the humble opinion of a half crocked old deer hunter.

I actually just picked up a 4'x8' tilt bed light duty trailer from a coworker. I'm going to build it into a blind and leave it parked on one of my bow spots permanently. I'm planning on going out in the morning to hunt from one of my hub style ground blinds. With the temps and light breeze that is forecast I'm thinking it will definitely require the big buddy heater.

I have been planning on building one myself like KDM is saying. For me I would be able to have my hubs in place for bow and a couple box blinds for rifle / bow.
I have looked at the plastic jobbers mostly for ideas and have found that they are not a one size fits all and will build mine for what I envision

If you're looking for something on the ground, and want something quick and easy, we use pallets to build a box with three sides and no roof. The slots in the pallet make for easy "reeding" with corn stalks or cattails. The are the perfect height to rest a rifle on if you're sitting on a bucket or stool.
