I have always split the pelvis. On a big deer it's sometimes not that fun - especially alone.
I am now bunghole curious due to kdm's note on deer processing (pretty much exactly like mine but I use a gambrel).
So does one just cut around it and thus, when spilling the guts, it just pulls inside and ploop - yer done?
Tie it off from gut-side first so you don't lose deer pellets inside?
What about kibbles/bits? Skin them back, tie off, cut... so they go slooping back into the hole too?
Bunghole Class is now in session.
