In general, I do not like the idea of banning a person from the site. It has only happened a couple of times, and in those situations the member was quite divisive, intentionally troubling, and/or used a lot of personal insults in their posts.

I have now had MULTIPLE requests to have camper removed from the site.

My personal opinion, is that I would not want to take such action due to ones political views, simply because they do not align with mine. More substantial reasoning, from my view, would be for things listed above.

I will leave this up to a vote/discussion for the community members. Let's try to be adults about this.

Thank you!

I don't look at the political side so i never see his posts. when i did it was pretty oblivious he is only here because he hates trump. this is a outdoor forum so if your only here to push your political views i guess he doesn't belong.

I agree with maybe 5% of what he has to say. That being said, I'm not a blue-haired individual who screams every time someone offers an opinion different than mine. Personal attacks seem to be a two-way street and I'm not sure he's any more guilty than anyone else.
Anyway, not my monkeys, not my circus.

Well I guess 1/2 of the members don't belong then according to this logic....I'm not complaining about this logic but it has to be all or none.

There are several folks that I don’t necessarily agree with politically but they still contribute on other, non political, threads. The person in question, however, contributes nothing, and really just seems to want to agitate. My vote is to cut them loose.

This is an outdoors site.
Yeah, there are other topics we discuss.
But, he / she? Does NOTHING for this site but cause turmoil.
Should have been gone LONG ago.
There is a reason so many have it on ignore.
Look at the last 100 posts made. Pretty easy decision.

I put him on ignore years ago when I realized he doesn’t contribute anything of substance especially non political posts. I suspect he is just a liberal plant that gets paid $5 for every anti republican comment he makes. He was doing it long before trump was elected the first time around.

Leave him.

If you get rid of him then others doing the same as him should also go.

He likes to poke the bear just like the ones that respond to him and verse visa. ...rofl...

Opinions are like asshole, everybody's got one. Some can deal with someone else's opinion, and some cannot.

I call myself a skim reader, if I don't like what someone has to say I just move on to the next reply.

That’s what the ignore feature is for if some one doesn’t like it just use it. Echo chambers are boring.
I agree, I have put the video posters on ignore over a year ago. I don't miss them a bit. So he's just a click away if I don't want to see or read something.

Shit V: there's an "ignore" option. I'm sure I'm on a few. MY complaint is seeing :ROFLMAO:, etc from "ignored" posters. Maybe fix that...then "ignore" would self correct? Also, an "ignored" post on a thread shouldn't bury it 20 pages deep...IE: "What Are You Listening".

I'm not trying to be in a bubble like "Covid Twitter". IMO; banning this fucktard would be a victimization/badge of honor. Conversely; eventual inability to troll "here" will provide victimhood/hero status with code pink, DU and the Sierra Club.

I'm glad you're still viable. I sincerely apologize for my since self deleted rant toward you the other day: I THANK you for not blocking ME. I think I would have should roles be reversed.

I vote "NO":

Agreed. And I usually bite my lip and keep my personal opinions to myself. If someone wants some facts and I have some to share I might pipe up. Typically I just laugh off any offensive posts.

Disagreement is an adult action. Insults are school yard immature. Respectful discussion is an adult action. Name calling and deliberate personal slander are unproductive, divisive, and totally uncalled for. Looking at the last 100 posts by camper, the vast majority do not fit the posts of an adult participating in open discussion or dialog. It is my opinion that while the ignore feature does work for those that want to use it, the vast majority of visitors to this site see what camper posts and form their own impressions of this site. I do not believe camper adds anything of value, substance, or contributes anything remotely close to "Outdoor" activities. Not having campers content visible on this site would, IMO, improve the quality of what you first envisioned for NDA Vollmer. You built a good thing here V and I for one will still be here regardless of how this situation plays out.

I have a suggestion, everyone who has more posts than likes on their profile should be booted off! I realize this would probably nix about 90% of the people on this forum! This rating system tells it all. Obviously, people don't like the BS they are posting so the posters need to clean up their act!

Seems like Facebook banned conservative viewpoints and Twitter banned conservatives viewpoints and we didn't like that...
I can decide for myself who I believe and who I think is a mindless twat.
