Question for the wise members of NDA-

I'm looking at a 2012 Minn kota 24 volt #80 thrust with a 60" shaft on Craigs list. I cant seem to find anything online- Can this model is able to get retrofitted with a remote control vs. the current foot control.

Does anyone know if this retrofit is possible? Thanks in advance.

We had a 2008 powerdrive on our old boat. It had a remote and a foot pedal. This should have it with it. If not, I'm sure you could maybe order one. Also, I think for $400 you can remove the head of the motor and replace with something that has IPilot. Better remote and more features like spot lock.

If it is a V2 you can retrofit with I-Pilot. If it is not a V2 you can add co-pilot if it doesn't already have it.

How much do they want?

I've got a Terrova I just pulled off my boat that is about that old w two remotes and a foot control. I-pilot and all that. Have all the manuals. I replaced it with an xi5.

One of the remotes (larger version) started getting wonky on occasion last year and wouldn't connect - not sure why. Once I control/connect with the original then the second one starts working.

Yes it can. And I just so have a extra I-pilot head in my garage I'd like to get rid of.

If it's in Nd be Careful. I don't think anyone legitament uses Craig's list anymore.

Captain Ahab has it right. If it is an older power drive just make sure it turns smoothly right and left. They were pretty bullet proof other than some circuit board issues, usually affecting ability to steer one direction or the other. That is an easy fix. I recently bought a new board for 35 bucks. Occasional brush problems but that's an easy fix as well. The old foot pedals are the biggest pain in the butt. You can find new and used co-pilots units pretty cheap... about a 10 minute install on the old PD.

Okay now I see you said it was a 2012 PD. That will be the I pilot. Sorry for my rambling in last post.
