So I just saw on the ol'facebook that apparently, the casino was using 2 different scales today to weigh fish and one was off by 3 pounds. Looks like the guys running the tourney are denying it was off that much though. Either way, anybody here that can confirm that or have more info? Why in the world would they ever have 2 scales to start with?

I can confirm 2 scales and yes the weights aren't adding up the way they should. I'm thinking tomorrow is going to be interesting to say the least

Looks like a shitshow on fb. Between the winner last year fishing almost 3 miles outta bounds and being reported and not dq'd, and this scale b.s. it's safe to say that I will most likely never fish the casino tourney...

We met with the directors tonight about it. They know the north scale house wasn't zeroing out the basket. They admitted it was only caught half way through the second flight weigh in, yet they won't do anything about it. We were blown away at all the 16+ lb weights...no wonder! They won't offer refunds or just have a one day tourney tomorrow so we're pulling the plug. The only reason it was caught was because one honest guy said there was no way his basket weighed what it did. He walked down to the other scale and it was almost 3 lbs less. True story. Bad bad deal..

How in the world could you botch something like this up that bad?! Refunds should be in order, it's way to much prize money on the line to not be ran truthfully. Good grief. I feel bad for all the guys fishing it

Looks like the 4 bears marina page deleted most of the posts about it on fb.

Didn't they have issues with this last year? Specifically the two scale system that seemed a bit screwy.

They must have hired political consultants to run the tourney. It's not that the scales are off, it's that minority fishing persons are being disenfranchised by a racist system.

This is a good point.

If it is like down here the gfp only care if regulations are followed. The rest of it they don't want to be involved in.
