I've seen similar events in an Alabama cat pond and once in a lake in the hills. They heard bluegills into a ball and tear ass. When walking the bank of the AL pond the frogs would spook away from the water. Right before dark; a shallow ShadRap twitched on top would garner amazing tarpon like strikes; paralleling the shore in a foot or less of water. Same deal with the shallow walleye right now in the other thread. It's not a "pop". It's like a croc emerging to grab a wildebeest. No shit. Don't set the hook too soon:
