Totally agree! I fished 2 tournaments in my life and both of them involved cheating in one form or another. It wouldn't bother me if all fishing tournaments were banned! The number of fish that die from barotrauma and the dead ones that are thrown back is not worth it. Whenever money is involved, there is always corruption!

Boat marshal in every boat would be the only solution to eliminate cheating. The SD Governors cup used marshalls to some extent according to the article I read in the Mobridge Tribune

Mobridge hired this crew to run their tournament this year. I'm assuming they did it the same way?? I know people were upset about the tagging but IDK if Mobridge gave out 6 or 8 tags. Now my boats livewell always has a little water in it when in the water, so I'd have to use a cooler. I know people were not happy about some of the things they implemented in Mobridge this year.

I am not going to give Jeff any credit, you're not wrong about his ego and I will no longer fish this tournament. However, technically it is "his" tournement. He bought it from the Beulah Chamber.

well you would be wrong on that, at least in ND on Sak. have witnessed the deep fish slaughter on Sak, not as a tourney participant but as a weekend dude, and yes small fish pulled out of deep water are tossed to die, it happens ALL THE TIME, and is a problem, and I agree weekend warriors are guilty but the tourney fisherman take the cake, don't really care if you disagree as I have seen plenty of floating fish at tourney times, maybe you pussies in SD are better sportsman, I doubt it tho HAHA

Threaded plugs for the filler fitting and the drain would eliminate that. Doggonit it's nice to not have to maneuver around a bunch of "stuff" on the boat floor.

Back in 1998 my Daughter drew a N.D Elk tag North of Medora. My Daughter shot a real nice 6 x 6 Bull in full velvet and my oldest Son videoed the hunt. The only people that were there was my Daughter and Son, my Dad and myself. About a week after she shot her Elk I walked into the convenient store in the small towned that I lived in and I hear a guy say. She never shot that Elk her Dad shot it. I walked up him and said what prove do you have that I shot the Elk. I told them, everything is on tape if they would like to watch it. It's just jealousy when people have to say stuff like that. I have 4 children and they all hunt. And never once did I think of taking a gun out of my kids hands to shoot something. My youngest Son was hunting the youth Deer season in MN. And it was Sunday evening last day of season and a Buck stood on the edge of the trees. It was tough to see, but was a doable shot. This Buck was one that you dream about. It was 185 to 195 class Buck. And not a shot was taken as he couldn't get a good shot. Could I have shot it, yes very easily. For a 14 yr old it was a tough shot.

Me neither, but, I doubt either of us would be comfortable winning any manner of competition having cheated to do so either.

A couple afternoons last fall I went gunless just running the dog trying to get my buddy's squeeze some upland birds. I enjoy the dog work ALMOST as much as shooting the bird.
