Well, since the Packers have been around since 1919, and the Vikes since, what...1960? I suppose it would have been tough for the Vikings to win anything over those 41 years. More like 5-1, which is still significant even though few pro teams in any sport have much success in their first few years.

Look, there are lots of ways to quantify the success of a given sports team, but to include victories that pre-date one of the teams in discussion seems kind of silly. The Packers have had plenty of success, but success is not only measured by championships alone.

For example, I have always admired the strength of the Packers organizational design. Owned by the fans, so to speak (even though they don't get a dividend on their shares), but at least the team doesn't threaten to leave every time the stadium needs shingles. That beats the holy hell out of billionaire owners like Jerry Jones, and a few others I can think of over the years.

Nonetheless, when it comes to being a bore, there are few teams out there with fans that compete with the Packers. I suppose Cowboys, Seahawks, Eagles, and maybe 49'ers compete with the best in that category.

Thread was about the peckerheads......errr I mean cheddar heads.

We all know the vikings choke that's why they wear purple!
Every puke I've ever puked has had shades of green and yellow in it. Never purple, except that time I ate pickled beets.....and it was the wrong shade of purple lol

Q: What do you call a Minnesota Viking with a Super Bowl ring?
A: A Thief

The playoffs are a crap shoot and it effects everybody. Green Bay should have been to the big game more with rodgers and the same can be said about MN. At the end of the day GB has finished the push 7 times since the vikes establishment. And been three times (2 wins) in the last 30 years.

Many years ago, I was a Queens fan. I developed PTSD because of it so I decided to go with a team from a better city that had more integrity! LOL

Try drinking too much purple MD 20/20. Not sure what shade it was but it wasn't good from what little memory I have of that night.

Yep Vikings over 30 years of Qb's and no Super Bowls.

It takes a lot more than a QB Duh.
You missed a key point we had one year with a hof caliber qb. It takes more but is still the most important position in all of sports

They really looked good yesterday, them cheesy fellas
I assume this is sarcasm.....they got dominated until the 4th quarter. At some point in the third quarter they said "Packers need to pick someone to step up, Jacobs has 64 yards and Love has 50 something". Them are some insane numbers right there....

Yes vikes were clearly better this week. Maybe there is still a significant gap there. but if i'm detroit or minnesota i dont want to play GB, again..., in the playoffs.

This is probably true, it is often said that it's very difficult for one team in the NFL to beat another team 3 times in one season. Obviously, to just play each other three times shows they are both good enough to make the playoffs, but one would think the team to win the first two would have the upper hand. I've always thought that the team who lost the first two probably learned more about the other team and that gives them something of an advantage in the playoffs, but statistically speaking...the teams who have won the first two meetings also beat them in the playoffs 67% of the time according to a search I just did on the topic.

If I remember correctly, right around the end of the 3rd quarter...Love had 68 yds of passing, and Jacobs had 50-some yards of rushing. That's not just clearly better, that's an outright ass-whooping. And then the 4th quarter shows up and the Vikes go into a prevent defense which allowed Green Bay to amass what eventually turned out to be a lot of garbage time yards and points. Sure glad they didn't go prevent defense a series or two earlier.

That being said, if I were retarded enough to be a Green Bay fan...there's a lot to like about that team's tenacity.:D:D

i may be a fan but not blind. They got throttled and the comeback was an illusion. Add in those missed kicks and its not even close. There is getting beat when you play good and then not even coming to the show. They didnt show up at all IMO and laid an egg.

Another example of a coach changing their game plan going conservative and playing not to lose instead of sticking with the original plan of playing to win.
