I must be old school: less than a quart per 1000 miles was considered acceptable back in the day.

It still is the norm in the industry. A quart in 2000 miles is considered within specs. The problem lies in that the engine did not pass fe economy standards so they reversed their own fix instead of finding an acceptable repair.

Well, after a 6.0L PSD for 60K Mi, a 6.7L PSD for 265K Mi, I'm back in a gas 1/2Tn.

F-150 XLT, 3.5L EB, Crew, 6.5' box, FX4 Off-Road package, 3:55's w/ELD.

Just under 3400Mi in the 1st 2 weeks. The noisiest thing within what folks would call "Road Noise" is the hollow sound of the tonneau cover flapping a bit.

The seats are comfy. The door pockets don't have quite as much room as my '11 F250, but there's plenty of room for the stuff I like to have in them.

The front end is a bit "floaty" @ speed for my taste so I may have to look into shocks w/less rebound. Couple of those multiple rolly-bumps on '94 between Bis and Beach transported me back to riding in grandma's old 76 Town Car when dad would wind up the 460 and hide the orange indicator needle on the 2' wide speedometer.

A goodly portion of the new tech I could do without, however, kiddo and I ran some steep mountain trails last week and figured out that when you engage 4-Low, the HVAC/Sound screen switches to the front camera on the grill's Ford emblem showing you what's upcoming. Additionally, the screen has tire tracks superimposed so you know where/what your tires will be running over. There's also solid lines just outside the tire-tracks which denote the actual sides of the pickup. This was a welcome surprise.

The 3.5L/10-spd held 10th gear from Livingston to the top of Bozeman pass @ 85. In fact the 10-spd does more gear hunting from 55-70 MPH than it does form 75-85. Whitehall to Fargo by way of Killdeer to nab the dog was 860Mi on Tuesday. I reset the MPG tattle-tale leaving the Whitehall filling station. 18.3 MPG running w/the cruise set 99.999967599% of the time 4-5MPH over the posted limit. Lots of 85MPH sections of that trip.

Best feature by far, coming from a 26Gal diesel tank to a 36gal gas tank. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the extra 10Gal of fuel. Curious to see how it does w/the boat hooked up.
