Didn't get buried with a lot of snow here west of Mandan, we have some pretty good drifts but nothing like the last couple storms. Guessing 6-8 inches of snow tops.

For those of us in snow-deprived Little Minneapolis, please post snow pics.

I could see a scenario where we look back at this thread years from now.

When I got home last night around 9:00 there was a 4' tall drift angling across the driveway, I moved some vehicles so I could move the snow easier this morning. As I looked out the window this morning the drift had pretty much disappeared, the wind direction change last night made quick work of that drift. Still got a decent amount to move in front of the garage door, but I can see the driveway so that is a plus.

Not much snow here in Valleyland, but BOY did we get rain. Was shoveling off the slush from the sidewalk when the rain turned to ice. Got pelted by "Horizontal Hail" for about an hour. That crap stung!!!!! Now we have somewhere between 3-6 inches of solid crust snow that doesn't even break when I walk on it. Lost enough branches off the trees to make a fair bon fire due to icing and the wind. NOT A GOOD DEAL!!! Going to be tough on the critters. Went through about 50 lbs of corn last night and the deer were even nosing the bird seed in the feeders. I figure it will be a regular zoo around here with the squirrels, rabbits, birds, deer, and whatever else is looking for something to eat. I'm off to fill the buffet table. This weather SUCKS, but at least everyone that I know is doing alright around here with nobody hurt, stuck, or otherwise in trouble. Stay Safe and Warm Everyone!!

KDM we lost a lot of branches here in Jamestown also. It started snowing after a 1/2 inch of ice and it was still wet so the snow stuck. Pine in the front yard trimmed seven feet high are touching the ground. Many branches up to eight inches broken off. A couple of green ash that are forked about ten feet up split all the way to the ground. The birds are so hungry that I had a couple of Purple Finches land on the feeder that I was breaking ice from. Animals are hungry today.

Got pretty sporty around here around midnight. That's when the first shot was taken with visibility down to about 150 yards. The second pic was the same spot today after the nahbors dug their car out of the three to four feet of snow that is now bearing most of the front yards.

neighbor that duns the blade called this morning at 8 stuck in his yard with a 3/4 diesel pickup I pushed snow over the hood and roof on a F 350 to get to the tractor over in our cattle yard. Got in the tractor and headed up to his place 2 miles away ended up pushing a path on the main gravel 8 miles to town to the county shop so he could get to blade to open the main hiway up here.

4 hours later back home.

If you are in NC ND and don;t HAVE to get some where, don;t try.

Deer are going to have it tough now. Watched two get stuck in the ditch trying to get across a road.

Stopped in another neighbors yard to check on him, his brother came from Bottineau to do feed cows and got stuck once by Souris on the hiway. The drift in front of their shop was as high as the 14 foot door. Had to push snow from both ends to get out.

Nothing to shovel in Fargo but the water and slush in the street has frozen. It's going to feel like I'm driving a section line every time I drive down the street. Can't be as bad as the Bismarck roads I encountered a couple days ago.

GFKS not much of anything to report. Only a few inches of snow came down, but the roads r icy from rain n wind continues to blow. The snow has a ice crust on it so its not blowing around too much n sun is trying to shine a little.

I get a call at 8:30 this morning "Why the hell aren't you at work yet?" go out outside shovel the 6 foot drift at the end of my driveway and somehow by the luck of the gods I made it to work. As of this morning Boulevard was unplowed with about 2 feet of snow and Divide had 1 lane open from about 19th to Expressway it's a mess out there.

In Minot we'll see the plows someday. Always a mystery when that will happen. Blew out neighbors and my driveway. No use trying to go anywhere for a day or three. Glad I made a booze run Friday.:;:rockit

they closed 52 all the way from the 4 lane (junction of 2) to the border so wife and kid are NOT going to work, neighbor I pulled out made it back to work last night and is still there. no call from my boss to come in to clear roads so it looks like I will be working Saturday and maybe Sunday as well to catch up. no plow on my street yet just some snowmobiles.
