I guess you could call em skyquakes but I've always believed them to be experimental/next-gen aircraft being tested. You can locate the areas where the noises will be based on the location based on the presence of military airports, Space Force, Air Force, secret project and also advanced/experimental tech companies in the chip industry like Google and SpaceX.
I will admit I have never heard of this happening outside of Western countries though, so the story about witness accounts in South America has me scratching me head. I have always believed this is some kind of supersonic test flight similar to the Concorde craft, but with the recent explosion of SpaceX am starting to believe it's all these damned rockets being sent back from orbit. What doesn't make sense about that is why noise complaints don't stop them from doing that shit at like 4AM, if you've never been in skyquake sometimes they get so loud you'd swear a caveman would think the sky is falling like chicken little, It's almost undeniable that whatever is making the noise is breaking the sound barrier, that's for sure.
