I replaced the bulbs in all of my 96/T12 fixtures last night, and a few of lights still aren't working. My guess is that the ballasts are bad, but it could be the starters as well. Even if they aren't bad, I'm going to switch out the old ballasts since the electronic ones are more efficient and quieter. Here is my question. The fixtures have a one red and one blue on one end, and a black and a white on the other. The new ballast has one red, two blue, a white, and a black. Do I just go color to color, or do I need to do some rewiring?

There are so many different wiring diagrams available, that I'm really not sure which to use. Some show blue to blue on one end, and then the red needs to go to the other side of the fixture.

I've never worked with these lights before, so any input is greatly appreciated.

I hooked up the new ballast color to color last night, and it worked fine, but now I read that making the magnetic to electric conversion requires a rewire.
